I had a VAX account in 1991, my freshman year of college. I remember having to go the the computer lab to use it because there was no connection in the dorms. I got an new PowerMac my senior year, 1995, and it had a dialup modem. I used AOL and still vividly remember that stupid "You've go mail!" voiceover every time a message came in.
1996 for me in college and I only had the university email because laptops were too expensive for me to have a personal email.
My first online access at home was 2002 through WEBTV. I ended up getting rid of WEBTV in 2011 because it became outdated and could no longer access websites.

We were a beta tester for WEBTV..... it was pretty horrible, haha.

It was great in 2002 but then around 2005 they created MSNTV2 which was supposed to be a upgrade and then around 2009 that was it. I think I was only able to go on 2 or 3 websites
We got it back in 1999 or 2000, the first iteration was really bad. My dial up connection was faster and of course it didn't take up the TV. We had to send in weekly questionnaires about it.

Maybe they should have came out with a MSNTV3 or 4 in 2010 lol

I assume you mean internet e-mail address, since e-mail has existed longer than IP networking or the public internet.
We had another thread about this topic four years ago, and here was my response then.
My first electronic e-mail address pre-internet was in 1977 or 1978 on the MECC Timesharing System. I was *GILDOR*/UN=H7LT263. First modem in 1988 and accounts on several dozen local BBSes with access to FidoNet, RIME, etc. Also charter member of AOL, 20/20 member on Delphi, and member of GEnie via Aladdin for a few years because I finally got SLIP access to a local ISP. 1995?
I had access to remote hosts via VAX networking (college) and DDP on Unisys mainframes (work) before I ever saw an internet/IP connection.

1992. First e-mail was sent to then-girlfried, now ex-wife. Service provider was my college. It's still around.
