??? FF Master password uses 3DES in CBC mode by default, tek didn't mention unencrypted...

Storing passwords via a browser and not having a master password is suicide, of course as we see with many posters here that's exactly what they do...

If I use my KeyScrambler it'll look like gobbledy **** to anything trying to read it. There could be better stuff out there, but as far as I know, it has worked OK.

I would post URL's on programs to crack KeyScrambler passwords except it would be against the TOS.....

I'd like to see that! Keep in mind, that once you hit B it would be different every time. It would be tedious going.

Buenas dias

Uhhh....... IE does this.......... Chrome does this........... FireFox does this............

Some sites prevent this and should, such as my credit union.

Firefox even allows you to setup a "master password" to allow FF to fill-in the username/password for you (but you only have to enter the master password once per session) The others may, I don't use them that much.

They tend to differ in features to a certain extent. Also the interface can be a matter of personal taste.

I tend to use KeePass under Windows and KeePassX under Linux, but there are a fair number of ports to other platforms and devices as well.

I'll have to look that up. I wasn't aware of that.

OK, I found the Master Passwords. What is next part in getting things straight? Or do I need to have the passwords ready?
