I have struggled with internet (particularly forum) addiction, where it interfered with my life so I've taken breaks and tried to limit the time I'm online.
LOL! Got an 8, but largely because there are no annoying or controlling people around. If you examine the quiz, a lot of it is based upon how OTHERS interpret your usage, or how it affects the wants of OTHERS. I wonder if it is possible that the author of the quiz has a social addiction?
I remember seeing that quiz floating around circa 2000 or earlier. It's an old quiz, and the questions need to be updated to reflect the changes in the relationship people have with the 'net.
For instance, I couldn't get past question one:
Do you find that you stay online longer than you intended?
I don't "intend" to be online for any given amount of time. I "expect" that whatever device I'm using is connected to the internet, and most of the things I do with my computers/phones/tablets are in some way internet based. I almost never do any serious amount of work with a desktop app that isn't in some way network-reliant. Sucks when I fly - all I can do is play backgammon, because that's the only app I use on my phone or tablet that doesn't require a 'net connection.

I know what you mean. It bugs me a lot at times when most things you do are internet based so I have only a few apps that don't require a connection as well.
I don't usually take tests like this but this one looked like fun.
I scored much lower than I thought I would ( 14) but that's what happens with tests like this where the questions aren't really applicable (which is why I don't usually bother
However, it's nice to know I could point to the results and 'prove' the internet isn't very important to me even though I might be on it 36 hours a day
