I've played with the displays at Target and I'm considering one myself. Someone on another board I frequent said it worked well for him and the speed of the connection was plenty snappy. The device seems really rugged, if the displays are any indication.
I wish that the Peek wasn't on T-Mobile's network. I had to return a T-Mobile phone within the 72-hour trial because it didn't get decent reception at my house. The T-Mo phone worked fine everywhere else I spend significant time, but not at home.
The price of the Peek handheld has dropped by $20 this week and the company that makes it has added support for SMS sending and image attachments in email. The Peek is getting harder to resist.
No. I think it will fall short of demand as a Christmas item and either be sold for less or discontinued. I may hold out for a clearance sale at Target in the new year.
