Unenumerated: Bit gold

Well, this isn't quite it. But I do remember Nick had a blog where he spoke about developing money, and I originally had an old PC that was running and "mining" it....that is until I started to see the electricity bills and my roommate and I promptly scrapped any future endeavors in the mining world.

A little too early it would seem.

Wow, this thread is from 2013. Reading some of these early replies is hilarious! To anyone who was invested since the start of this thread, congrats on those 1000x gains. Back then I would've definitely been on the side of those who thought it was a scam or a ponzi scheme.

The funny part is a couple people are still saying the same thing. I heard about it in 2011, said very similar things to the posts in this thread, I thought my friend was nuts but kept an open mind and finally in late 2013 "got it".

Unfortunately most people just focus on the wrong aspects of Bitcoin and never see the big picture.

I only posted in Music threads back then. But, believe what you want. I did spend a bunch sub $50k, sub $20k... unfortunately...damn Ex.

I did post about one of my startups 5 years ago. It was a pay per view video streaming, pay with Bitcoin. We are actually relaunching with a cool new strategy.

Yep, Bitgold was close! I think some of the ideas were used in the Bitcoin whitepaper.

Isn’t this like the 4th time this week you’ve jumped out a window this week? Good thing you’re on the first floor lol.
