Another crazy TSLA day.
I was up by $140k this morning....then dropping to the negative.....and then up again by 80k for the day.
TSLA will likely crush the Q4/annual numbers when they report on Wednesday. I expect 900+ this week; likely even 950s. but i have high confidence that we'll see 950-1000 over the next 2 weeks, assuming the numbers are great, and there's good news with S/X refresh and other positive news during the Earnings Report Meeting.
I'm currently pretty deep in TSLA. about 2.2M worth of TSLA and plan on getting out 80 or so % of that as we get closer to 1500. Not because i don't believe in TSLA, but because i want to retire later this spring, and get into funds that are less volatile.
I know some of you are also big TSLA holders. Any thoughts or predictions over the next few months?
here are the catalysts i see on the horizon:
- S/X refresh
- Q4/Annual earning report
- Full Self Driving software will take us to Level 4 within a month or two i believe. Solid BETA already out as of December of last week. almost fully autonomous, including turns, stop lights, everything! i personally know a few folks that have this, and it's WOW. Yes, it's been delayed since 5 years ago, but it's a complex problem and it's better to be late and releasing a faulty product. just my 2 cents
- Giga factory Texas (operational June 2021)
- Giga Berlin (Operational Mid-late 2021)
- New battery technology rolling out soon
- Semi truck getting traction (several job postings recently)
- Cybertruck rolling out of Texas starting later this year or 2022 likely
- Robo-Taxi - dependent heavily on FSD release/"perfection"
- Model 2 ($25000 version tesla) Game over
- Tesla insurance expanding
- EV friendly new administration
- Potentially more EV credits that 'may' benefit Tesla
- P/E ratio is stupid high....but it's often the case with super fast growth stocks. Tesla is a disruptor of many sectors.
I bought TSLA today, up 1.5%. I'll see how it does tomorrow. If it does well, I'll sell half and keep half through earnings. I'm still very bullish on TSLA long-term, but this is my trading account and I already have a lot of money in ARKK, which owns a lot of TSLA.

Awesome. nice move. I sold 25k worth of some hotels today and bought 220 shares of ARKG! i think that'll be huge in the next few years. ARKK is also awesome. Keep your eyes open for ARKX! another likely monster :-)

I am sure pro shorters are keeping an eye on the Reddit Short Squeeze hit squad...if they visit tesla...I am sure they are getting nervous...though 8% short is low for Tesla.

Reddit has been all over TSLA for a long time. We saw several new WSB TSLA millionaires minted last year.

Yes they have. 8% short interest in TSLA is actually not very high. Reddit has been helping TSLA up the ladder, it's one of their favorites, but not for targeting the short interest. They just like it because it's TSLA. That's one of the reasons they seem to like BB and their QNX operating system for EV's. BB is apparently an EV play.
