Yes, like the early Christian Settlers we do desire America to one day be Islamic Just as the Christian Missionaries wanted it to be Christian.
For the bold portion, you couldn't be anymore wrong! Islam is not something that is supposed to be forced upon ANYONE and Islam's purpose is not to breed more Muslims and convert the masses.
IDK what sect or denomination of Islam you follow but, its this mentality that Islam needs to conquer all, the exact reason why non-Muslims despise us.

For the sake of all that is Holy, and for the sake of all humankind, God and Jesus DESPISES Muhammad for all the evil he has commited. Muhammad had no compassion for them or anyone else he lied about, murdered, raped and stole from. He was a monster, and for the love of God, all of mankind SHOULD despise him as well.
Christianity claims that anyone who doesn't convert and follow Jesus will burn in hell for eternity!
That must be it.
So you "ritiously" hate Jesus because he proclaimed to be the doorway, the light and the way? You don't have to respect Jesus at all. But keep in mind, you reject the phylosophy he teaches, and the compassion of God that he delivers. Anyone suggesting that you will have trouble getting to know God because you choose to unjustly hate Jesus is a matter of genuine concern for your soul. With Islam it is a matter of Jihad. BIG difference.

Hmm...let's see what happens if we take that posting and substitute the word "Muhammad" for "Jesus" ...

That is hilarious. Muhammad was a lying, thieving, mass murdering, slave raping pedophile, who created Islam which is an abomination and perversion of God. Jesus was sinless. All Jesus did was speak the truth and love. You are supposed to despise what is evil. All of Islam loves and wishes peace apon a truly HIDEOUS monster, and it's disgusting. They have no compassion for any of his countless victims. For that they share in his wretchedness. They do, and cover up evil just as he did, without any remorse. I hate them all. It is because of their beloved MONSTER this world suffers so much. They need to throw him in the lake of fire for all eternity just as I have done. That is their only path to repentance.

Peaceful coexistence is not only possible, it is a necessity in this ever shrinking world.
I agree with your second point and your post in general. But your first point is a good example of what is wrong with an exclusive and evangelizing religion (be it Islam OR Christianity).
I can feel Jesus's anger for Islam. I can feel his outrage for what Muhammad has done to him and his loved ones. Islam feels no outrage for evil or injustice. They knowingly wish peace apon a truly, hideous monster. Indeed, I feel Jesus's hatred for Islam.

One doesn't need to know Jesus at all to know about God. The two are totally unrelated. And of course, the god of The Bible is not the true God or Creator. We know this because we know both Jesus and Bible god have their origins in earlier man made mythologies.
Oh, and very little of Jesus' philosophy was his own. Most of it, especially the moral teachings predated him by centuries.
It is true Muslims want shariah law, but most of us want true shariah. Shariah can not be applied to non-Muslims. Under true shariah non-Muslims would not be affected, under real Shariah.
I hope nobody thinks Iran is under shariah. that is not shariah as understood by nearly all of the world's Muslims.
No I don't think that Iran is getting Sharia Law right. I don't think the Taliban did either. The problem is they think they are getting it right.
So long as there is so much abundance of corruption and corruptibility in human beings, theocracy of any type tends to be a terrible idea. The problem is that it creates a broad system of non-equalization based upon religious beliefs. Whether it's Christians or Hindus or Muslims or any other religion implenting a theocratic system of government, handing any one religion overall responsiblity is going to lead to problems. Theocratic systems tend to presuppose that people in power will do the right thing, but this just isn't realistic. If you create separate courts and full governmental hierarchy separately for Muslims, Jews and Christians then you're beginning to create a system of segregation and exclusivity. You also potentially have three heads of state, one for each religion. So which one has supreme authority over the other two? If you merge them all together with Muslims ruling then you're ensuring tyranny based upon religious bigotry.
No matter how thoroughly you revamp or update or adjust Sharia, it's still a theocracy that presupposes that one religion -- Islam -- is right and everyone else is wrong.
In my opinion, it's either a choice between Sharia or peaceful integration of all peoples and religions. You really can't have it both ways.
