I can go and find some of the earlier links I've provided good old C34 about 6 months ago, but just FYI, the current species COUNT, not estimate, of reproductively isolated plant, animals and other life forms is an astounding 30+ million.
In addition, the rate of current species discovery (over two a week in the Amazon, for instance, with another 10 worldwide. Each and every week, and that rate is growing, not shrinking!) has provided a conservative estimate of a probable 100+ million unique species. I just read the other day that there are 20,000 species, yes species, of ants worldwide. That's just the ants, and just the ones they have taken the time to identify and study.
This does not include the likely 5 - 15 million species that have already gone extinct.
Noah and Allah had quite a job to do, huh? What with "No Evolving Allowed" signs posted on every tree and stone!

Actually the link claims a lot more than that...More than 1.75 millions existing today and countless millions of extinct species going back 3.8 billion years...The only problem I find with the web site is that Allah gets the credit.

I knew the 20k was conservative and was much higher, I was being deliberately conservative as even a 20k list from their holey book would impress but we all know that is all wishful thinking - I was trying to set the bar low enough for a possible proof but....
