really? The Jags make us miserable? I saw another thing on Forbes that listed up as the #3 fun place to work.

Now I'm confused. Man, you just can't trust these surveys.
Jacksonville among most miserable cities.
Also Jacksonville among best places to work.
What should I believe? Take your pick.

That's why I try not to put much credibility into any of these articles.

For what it's worth though, there seems to be a lot questions on our forum with people wanting advice about moving to Jacksonville so it can't be all that miserable here.

Think you guys have it bad? 3 of the top 5 are within 20-45 minutes from where I live. Sacramento is within 2 hours. I know things aren't great in California, a big part of it being what we are dealing with along with Florida (housing bubble) more than any other state. I have a hard time believing though that there aren't more miserable places to live, based on weather alone.

chicago, for instance... i returned from ten days in mexico this past sunday and had to shovel my car out of a 3ft snowdrift. and it's currently 7 (SEVEN) degrees outside. pretty miserable if you ask me.

I lived in JAX for a few years and even though there was a lot of crime and racism, the natives didn't seem all that miserable.
