Is this movement now dead in Jacksonville and everyone has went back to their lives?? It seems to be growing in other places.

You've got a good point here Northside. Those looking for a quiet neighborhood at night should choose downtown to live. As far as bringing people downtown is concerned, I've always thought that a farmer's market that could be set up every weekend at the Landing might work.

Reality Check:

The Landing is actually relatively busy on the weekends, guys.

Hence all the restaurants, music, events, etc.

And more restaurants/bars opening this month.

Business lunch crowds alone could never support that many comemrical options.

Also, btw, The Landing does have a "Farmer's Market"-esque event every Friday.

How come people talk about things that obviously don't know that much about? Interesting approach.

It's the American way. "If you can't amaze them with your knowledge, baffle em with BS".

The city needs to continue an aggressive approach and get EverBank to commit to the downtown. I thought EverBank was as good as done. These small business can't do it alone.
