the people over at MetroJax have pointed out that jacksonville is the only downtown of a decent sized city that doesn't have a Starbucks. How the feck can you not support a Starbucks in your downtown?

Actually Starbucks left the Landing due to a lack of vibrancy last year

Yea, that was a bad location for Starbucks.

Stabucks need A LOT of traffic to even consider a location, and The Landing doesn't offer that level of traffic.

If it opened where, say, Chamblins Uptown is located now, then it would do very, very well.

But, there's few really great spaces available that have a very high level of traffic of Downtown Jax.

Actually, after the 7-11, McDonald's, and other retail open on State Street in the next months/year, I wouldn't be surprised at all if a Starbucks opened on there. It's one of the busiest roads in Jax and aprime spot for a drive thrus.
