Th US Navy doesn't pay Soldiers overtime, as Soldiers are in the US Army. But then again the US Navy doesn't pay it's Sailors overtime either. No members of the US Armed Forces gets paid overtime, no matter what rank they are. I was an O-6 and got jump pay and combat pay. I also got Sep Rats and Sep Housing but unfortunately I never got overtime pay.

Playing a hockey game outdoors makes total sense since that's how hockey was originally played (maybe not in the NHL) and is still played today by kids and adults in cold climates. Playing a basketball game on an aircraft carrier is just dumb (IMO). There's no reason for it.

It's just that ridiculous.

And I'm sure there is taxpayer money going towards this. I (obviously) don't know this for a fact but it's a Naval vessel with Naval officers and enlisted who get paid...via tax dollars. The maintenance and upkeep of the vessel is also paid for with tax dollars.
man you really are passionate with the hate. Ha ha ha I like passionate hate, they should jumbotron this game at the Landing, let them get a piece of the action & bring people out.

As you said, many costs are being paid anyway. Either way, should we be paying for them to do this sort of thing?

The whole thing is just a ridiculous idea.

Something like that would make sense!

It's not hate. I still, honestly, just don't get it. Didn't get it last year. I think it's just a dumb idea. Why play it on a naval vessel? What's the point? It just makes no sense.

I can imagine the pitch meeting. Ok guys, let's come up with something. I know, let's play a game on an aircraft carrier! Yeah! That makes sense! Huh!!???

It's not so much the possible cost to the taxpayers, rather, I just don't get it.
