Are the tickets available for this game yet? Hopefully some locals will be able to attend.

Are those the two teams picked? Did it move from San Diego?

there are three of these games this year. One here, one in San Diego, and third one somewhere I can't remember.

There will only be a very limited number of tickets available for the general public, so they'll be quite pricey, and military families and vets get first dibs I believe. I think I heard some info is supposed to be released later this week about a package deal that includes the Jags/Colts game the day before.

In addition to Florida v. Georgetown on a ship off the coast of Jacksonville, FL. there is also;
Marquette v. Ohio State on a ship off the coast of Charleston, S.C. and;
Syracuse v. San Diego State off the coast of San Diego, CA.

Heres a link to the games being played,
Florida, Georgetown to play on aircraft carrier on Nov. 9

Honestly, I think the whole idea is just stupid. It was stupid last year and it's stupid this year. Why play a game on an aircraft carrier??? More importantly, how much does it cost to do the whole thing?

I really just don't get it.

I guess they're doing it for promotion/novelty/uniqueness of it ... but I agree GR, it seems like a waste of $$$ in this economy

I think it was a cool idea to do once on Veteran's Day last year. This year, seems like ESPN wanted more since the game did a good numbre for college basketball in November.

Hopefully ESPN, and not taxpayers, are paying for it
