Hello again!

Y'all have been so helpful to us! We really feel like we are getting a good feel for the area!

One response to our blog here got us thinking about the King & Bear neighborhoods in (or is it near?) World Golf Village. Does anyone here have any thoughts about that--positive or negative? We'd truly appreciate any feedback.

Thanks again!

bob and steve

I don't have any input so far but I'm going down at the end of this week (from NJ) and plan on visiting King and Bear. Will let you know my feeling on it when I get back. Of course that will just be my impressions from looking at it. It would be much better to get opinions of people who live in Kind and Bear.

The King and the Bear is part of the WGV complex even though it is a couple of miles down the road and has its own gated enterance. Just about the only ones who actually go through those gates are residents and golfers. Unlike those neighborhoods at the main WGV complex.
IMO ... The King and the Bear golf course, is much more challenging than the Slammer and the Squire golf course.

The King and Bear is a beautiful gated neighborhood- well landscaped and laid out. There are a lot of different price points from 230,000 to millions. The area has good schools but not a lot else around in terms of retail/restaurants at this point in time.

We are also considering King and Bear, but we have two young kids in elementary school and want them to be close to friends. Does anybody know if there are a fair amount of kids in the neighborhood?

There are definitely a good number of kids in the King and Bear. The neighborhood is a good mix of various ages from young couples with kids to retirees.

Great, thank you! A mixture is definitely what we're after...we also like that it's gated and mostly 'tucked away' back there...a little more secure feeling I suppose...nice and peacefull too...

I think King and Bear is beautiful. If you are looking in the WGV area, that is definitely the neighborhood to try to get in. The landscaping is stunning, they kept much of the natural landscape and didn't cut down more than they had to when building.

I personally love the King & Bear community, and would move there in a heart beat if it just wasn't so far from there to where I work. Maybe when I retire and the current real estate market picks up some. Like someone above stated the King & Bear golf course is fantastic, one of my favorites in all of NE FL.
