Does anyone have them? Can anyone recommend a good company to install them? We have eight irrigation sections in our development and need them badly.

I have one. I thought it was city or county code to have one.

Ours is through H20 Management, Inc in Middleburg:

We found ours lying on the ground last weekend.
We turned our sprinklers off during all the rain. But it would be nice to have a working sensor.

I don't know, but the sprinklers at my condo are always running in the rain..... and the sprinkler water smells like sewage.

the reason the water "smells" is because most apts use irrigation wells and you are smelling the iron in the water. This will give off a sulfur smell.

I finally turned my irrigation system back on this morning after all of the rain

DFS Irrigation (904-221-4496) installed my system. Steve came out afterwards and for $125 re-routed two sprinklers after I extended the lanai. The water sensor works but I kinda like to control my irrigation manually.

I don't have one, but a lot of my neighbors had them put in by Gator Irrigation and they've been happy with them. They're licensed to install with the city:

It's not code to have one, but if you choose to install one, it has to be installed to code by a licensed professional.

You can't hire just anyone to install an irrigation system, they have to be legit installers that are licensed by the city.......this is for Duval county/JEA anyway, I don't know if it's the same in Clay.

As for do-it-yourselfers, I'm not sure how you go about that with the city. They might allow you to pull your own permit and install to code, but I don't know anyone who's gone this route.

If it's discovered that you installed one, or had one installed illegally, you can be fined (in Duval at least).
