I'd love to find some used book stores. I had some wonderful ones back home. One that was as big as a Barnes and Noble. It's where I would get most of my books. I haven't even seen any small ones around here.

If you know of where one is, I'd love to know. Thanks!

Definitely Chamblin Book Mine, on Roosevelt. You can spend hours in there, and literally get lost. Chamblin Uptown (next to the library downtown) is nice, but not nearly as big. They sell at half cover price, and they buy as well, but they can be fairly picky about what they'll take.

If you're in the Beaches area, Tappin Bookmine on Atlantic Blvd. at Seminole Rd. is great as well. They are a small store but have alot of books. They usually have alot of books about local history too.

We go to the St. Johns Library at the Beaches. They have books that look almost brand new and cost two dollars for a paperback. They have several sales throughout the year..I thought its in April but the website says in February. I hope that's 2013...

I agree. Chamblins Bookmine is by far the best used bookstore in the area. It takes up close to a full block and has everything. It's like a labyrinth inside; very easy to get lost, but that is part of the adventure. The one downtown has only been open for a few years and I haven't been to it yet. Chamblins is definitely worth going to.

I am an avid bookworm, and Chamblins Bookmine on Roosevelt gets my vote. I've not hit their downtown location yet. It truly is a fun exploration every time. There used to be many, many more on the Southside but I'm not sure which ones of those remain. I recall great reading at one on Beach in St. Nicholas, anyone know if they're still around?

"The Old Book Shop" that used to be located on Beach Blvd in St. Nicholas has been closed for a couple of years now.
