Has anyone here in Jacksonville every used Megabus, and where is the station located? How do you compare it with Greyhound?

When Megabus first started it was reported that their pick-up/drop-off point would be downtown at the Skyway Tram Station across W. Bay Street from the Prime F Osborne Convention Center. Haven't heard if they ever changed it.

Yah, still at the Prime Osborne. Can be a little sketchy late at night and when it's empty, but I picked someone up about three weeks ago on a Sunday night, 10:30pm and the bus was full, parking lot was full of people waiting to pick up passengers as well as passengers waiting to board the next trip. So not too scary.

As for what it's like to ride, I can't say from personal experience. I've taken megabus numerous times over the years but always in/out of chicago and the northeast. It's adequately safe and comfortable in those places because these buses are very popular and the clientele are pretty much choice riders...I can't say for sure that's the case in/out of Jax. That said, I'd choose it over greyhound.

The earlier you buy your Megabus ticket the less it costs! Sometimes if you're the first to buy a certain trips ticket you can get it for as little as $1.

Online is great if the purchaser has a good eye on their banking accounts. The last time I used Megabus I didnt like it, I traveled during the Winter time from Atlanta to Jax and they keep the AC on full blast the entire time!!! The best part of the trip was the rest stop in Titansville where we were allowed to leave the cold bus for 20 minutes.
