My husband is moving to a newer apartment complex in Jacksonville. He needs good internet speed, doesn't watch a lot of tv. Which one would you chose?

I'd choose Comcast Xfinity which has way better internet speeds currently available.

Comcast will walk all over ATT with regard to internet speed. I'm guessing he's a gamer. Also, consider that Comcast is going to be near 100% available, whereas ATT DSL service is only available within a certain distance from their CO (central office). That distance requirement may have changed since the last time I researched this, but I'm also a gamer (when I can) and I will never leave Comcast for that reason.

AT&T just merged with Direct TV today and Comcast merged with Time Warner in February. You can be sure that both companies will be offering different packages/bundles in the near future. Hopefully service improves with both companies.

I agree with everyone regarding Comcast for internet (left AT&T DSL a few years ago - no comparison in terms of speed). What problems do you have with the voice part? We only started with Comcast phone service about a year ago - and really like it. Still freaks me out when the phone rings and the caller ID shows up on the TV . Robyn
