Depending on the weather, I take my daughter there on weekend mornings and on weekday afternoons after my jog. Ever since she started walking she likes her feet in the sand and water!

In the 'winter' I jog on the beach if it's not too windy. If it is we jog- her in the Bob stroller- on 1st Street then go out on one of the nice handicap entrances and spend some time on the benches. She likes looking at the ships, waves, etc.

We also host many many Midwestern guests who come for the beach and sun.... I mean to visit and spend time with us.....
Somewhat OT - but running on beaches can be hazardous to your health:

Running on the Beach: The Benefits & Dangers | Runners Feed

My husband used to run 3-4 miles a day - and he disliked running on the beach because of the dangers noted in the article. Robyn

It was a she (Family of woman found dead in Ponte Vedra search for answers) - and I don't know what's funny about a possible homicide/suicide. Robyn

I do believe gv28 was making fun of the OP.

Default dizzying heights above sea level

Please don’t fall off that high horse.
And you may want to angle your nose down, just a lit-tle bit, when it rains.

I wasn't making fun of anyone, but we need to be able to laugh.

I have beaches to walk and fish to catch, so Over and Out from here.

You're right. I should have said, "Making fun of the subject of this thread."

And I did get a laugh from your post.

Thanks but I do not jog barefoot and I only jog on the harder packed sand when I do run on the beach. I normally jog on 1st Street.

I called NB. The police department, whose umbrella I guess includes the lifeguards, has no idea what the Surf Zones are. They said they would talk to some lifeguards and call me back. My quest continues.....
