I recently moved to PV from South Florida and I am looking for a good hairstylist, specifically someone good with Blonde highlighting. I just want someone good, not looking for someone cheap! Any help would be so appreciated..!!

My wife seems to like Belleza Salon on A1A in PVB . My mother-in-law goes to 10 Salon in PV. Both are very happy where they are.

My husband and I go Ten Salon. Some of the staff seem to specialize in (blonde) hair coloring:

You could stop by and see if you like the salon and if someone there would suit your needs. Robyn

My wife goes to Cortello Salon in Jacksonville Beach and loves it! She does the highlighting, among other things.

I would look on Yelp for reviews, etc, for any salon you are interested in.

Cortello is definitely NOT cheap!

I've been researching for my impending move to St Augustine.

Check out Rio Salon in Jacksonville (Laura Carmichael) https://www.instagram.com/laura_carmichael/
Also Bleach Salon in the same area - Courtney https://www.instagram.com/courtneybells/

Is any hair coloring/highlighting cheap? I keep my hair pretty short - and it would be kind of worthless to color it. OTOH - my hair is still a nice light brown with some "salt" in it.

This woman is my hero when it comes to gray hair:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Lee_Curtis

Won't mind when I get totally gray as long as I look like her . My husband and I both get monthly haircuts at Ten Salon. Costs $65 for the 2 of us before tip (and I don't know how it breaks down between the 2 of us - think I pay a little more - he pays a little less). Robyn

P.S. One thing I like about our stylist (don't know the right word) at Ten is she works 5-6 days a week. We were with another stylist at another place before we went to Ten Salon - and she only worked 2 days a week. Which was sometimes hard to fit into our schedule.

My wife pays $180 plus tip ($30 or $40 in tip) at Belleza. She tells me it's a bargain considering she was paying $280 plus tip in NJ. I said to her, "you paid what?!". I think the most I've ever paid for a haircut is $18 lol.

I told my father-in-law to check out Don's Barber shop on Solana near Winn Dixie (where I go). He walked in and walked out lol. He goes to 10 Salon where his wife gets her hair done. He pays $60 plus tip.

How often does one have to get coloring done?

And $60 is an awful lot for a men's haircut. Does your FIL get anything else done? I guess what hair things cost are mostly a function of time (and sometimes products/materials). Takes a little < an hour for me and my husband (shampoo and hair cuts for both of us). Robyn
