I received sample ballot in mail today. I have this question. The arrows to vote for the president are on top of the row. where as the arrows for all the other categories are in the middle of the row. Why is it like this?

Also one more question. Can I opt to Not to vote for some of the categories? I mean Can I not vote for some ammendments if I don't understand them? Is my Ballot still valid?

I did not pick up on the arrow issue with the sample ballot. But then, I didn't have to give the presidential race any thought. What was a surprise to me was that there were like a dozen candidates running and I could only identify four of the parties.

When I voted, the woman from the Supervisor of Elections office said that every race did not have to be voted on. I had read something about ballots tossed in previous elections because every race was not voted.

The S of E staff that I saw was being very patient and helpful in answering questions. If you have any questions about which bubble to darken in the presidential race, just ask them. I'm sure that they will be able to answer your questions.

Yes, you can just vote for some of the amendments and not all. You only have to make a selection wherever you wish to - whatever you vote on will count.
