Dear all,

I am coming to Jacksonville next month.Please advise me accordingly

Need your help in coming up with living expenses in jacksonville..
Can you please advise me with an estimate who will be get deputed to jacksonville.

I have come up with a conservative list of expenses here. Please chip in with your contributions if you think of something more...

Rent ( 2 bedroom )--------------> ????
Living expenses (listed below)
Car ( Fixed asset) ----------> $500 ( every month , assuming $5000 for a decent car)
Fuel for car ------------------- > $50
Insurance-----------------------> $125
Groceries for a month -----> $500
Others -> $300

Others = Drinks/Cinema/Park/Beach

You can get a 2BR apartment for $500-600/mo. A 2BR house would be $600-800/mo depending on location.

Fuel for car ------------------- > depends on how much you drive. Jax is drive-heavy, so plan on $125 per month
Insurance-----------------------> $125
Groceries for a month -----> $500
Utilities -> $150-$300
Cable - $50
Internet$ - $40
Cell Phone $- 50
Others -> $500 you never know....

i cosign fsu's estimates. also, bvijaycom, you may want to add if you are coming by yourself or with children or spouse/significant other. i see you said conservative estimate which to me implies you want the basics for everything. the only thing i would add is health insurance (if your job doesn't provide it) and property insurance other than car. jacksonville seems to have a theft and vandal problem. entertainment here is fairly reasonable and downright cheap if you look for deals.
