I'm of the opinion that the sooner you stop blaming your circumstances the better off you'll be.

There will ALWAYS be someone who overcame more adversity than you. The sooner you stop using things as a crutch, you'll realize that no one else is responsible for your situation but you.

Acknowledging your personal barriers is not putting blame on anyone else.

Acknowledging them is one thing. Using them to justify your current position (or lack of one) is not.

Does this also apply to someone who is trying to overcome foreclosure or eviction?

To be honest, I actually appreciate how some of you are of the same notion because it actually gives me hope to overcome the obstacles I'm going through.

Are you trying to fight off eviction or just needing pocket money while you finish up your degree?

It also depends on what your definition of "finding a job" is. Sure, you can likely find work just about anywhere, doing something that you neither want to do or are particularly interested in. The fallacy of unemployment is that somewhere out there is always a good match available between a person, their skills, qualifications, interests, and an available job in the right location with the right pay. Unless you have a purely skills-based trade it can take a long long time to find the right opportunity.

No it is not your fault. Employers are keeping you out of work, along with their snakey HR drones. They've created a MONSTER hiring process. I've made a plethora of posts about this. Look for my thread: "Can't find a job? Blame the Employers, NOT the Government".

Whose "fault" is it if the OP doesn't have transportation nor any work history because s/he was in school the past 5 years?
