You know it is kind of sad that people have to be told to ask questions and follow up on things, this whole idea that you have to just send in your resume and hope you get a response is a relatively new idea, but for some reason many people refuse to even try to contact people involved or find different ways to get their foot in the door. People will spend an hour or 2 customizing their resume and cover letter and yet refuse to pick up the phone and call the company or write an email to the company about the job and any questions they may have.
