I haven't either, but I just read this article that nightlysparrow linked to in another thread, and it suggests that you include "links to social networking profiles, such as BeKnown, LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter. Set up such profiles to be highly professional, not personal."

Interesting.

Your resume is not that great. Experience is fine, but the resume is bad. You haven't spent any time at practice interviews at local career development classes.

If you can't bring it up the resume rate, it's going to be extremely difficult to get a job in any state. Do 100 practice interviews to assess and update the resume with 100 critiques.

See, you fail to understand me. What part don't you understand that NO ONE WANTS TO HELP ME. Everyone has told me, "We're not helping you, you want to leave us. Why do we want to help someone who wants to leave us?" The few interviews I did here in PA, they just said, "Wow, you have a lot of good experiences and present yourself well, but since you don't want to live here, we can't help you." Unless I could do phone practice interviews where I want to move... would people be willing to do that, though? Would people be willing to take out time to help an out of towner that wants to become a local? So far I haven't found that and that's frustrating... it's very frustrating. That's why I'm hoping for the writing program that offers housing and job training. It would be a BIG HELP. I need help... I need a lot of help and no one is willing to help.

EDIT: or people suggest giving percentages of success. I can't give percentages of success at the jobs I held. I attempted it once and my coworker at the library just said, "Uh, these don't make sense. Just list what you do here. That would make more sense." Maybe I am a failure. :X

Here is another way I found:

Social Media Manager Resume Example

Social Media Manager, So Crates, Palo Alto, CA
January 2009 - April 2013
Skills
  • Social media marketing: Develop initial social media plan and presence for startup brand. Build social media calendar, posts, advertising and promotions across social media platforms and blogs.
  • Community building: Engage blogging community and reviews to leverage influencers of target demographic. Establish on-site blog with in-house and guest bloggers to create brand and product content.
  • Advertising and promotions: Utilize extensive knowledge of social media advertising to create ad budget and placements. Quickly build engagement via promotions and giveaways.
Successes
  • Launched brand business pages and accounts. Grew Facebook Page "likes" to over 2,000, and Twitter followers to 3,200 within first two quarters.
  • Distributed product samples to "mommy blogger" community for written and video reviews as well as giveaways. Increased inbound links from blogs and Youtube by 80% from 2010 to 2011.
  • Attend regular social media and blogger conferences to establish presence in professional community. Session presenter at BlueGlass, 2010, SMX West, 2012, and BlogWell 2013.

Jess, check out meetup.com for groups. Surely there must be something in your area.

Have you ever heard of relocation specialists? Someone suggested one of those. I guess it'll depend on what this company says.

Yes, they assist with relocation, not with getting a job.

Ah, okay! Sometimes I wish I had a job I could transfer with... it might have made the whole process easier. The joys of working for small companies that are only local.

So you go to your career center and you pretend you're also applying locally. That's why they call it "practice" - it's not for real. The point is to improve the résumé and interview skills.

Phone Interviewing Do's and Don'ts for Job-Seekers

I found this... maybe I can have friends practice with me. I get really nervous talking on the phone. However, when I can't give things I accomplished (I haven't accomplished anything at my jobs)... that's a problem. That's why I can't give percentages or anything more detailed because I haven't really done anything that is "wow." Maybe that's why my resume lacks. I guess I really am entry level with not much experience.
