.... Some Jews that were born in Palestine/Israel before May 15, 1948 also refer to themselves as Palestinians!
Neither my grandparents or parents who were from the Yishuv (old or new really doesn't matter) thought of themselves as Palestinians. As they were from Jerusalem (and w/o making this a history thread), considered Palestine a transition period (living under British control was no joy).

I know someone Jewish born in Jerusalem during the British Mandate who says she is considered a Palestinian as well. So I assume it depends on the person.
Meanwhile, the quarantine restrictions in Israel have gotten tighter.

If her parents were born outside of the mandate, then she was a Palestinian. My family dates back to the Jerusalem before the Mandate. If you look around the internet there are links that discuss people wanting their passports to list Jerusalem as their country of birth as that was what the region was called before the Mandate. It was known as a Sanjak of the Ottoman Empire.

The Israeli Defense Ministry has taken over Ben-Gurion Airport after it closed down Saturday night as those coming into the country were not being quarantined properly:
This is just for Birthright trips scheduled in March. One of my nieces is scheduled to go on a Birthright trip in June. So I assume it's too early to know what will happen with that.

I don't know if she is or isn't but she already has other potential plans for next summer (volunteering for the environment in East Africa or the Seychelles). So she mentioned perhaps a possibility of a winter Birthright trip?! (BTW, she has visited Israel as a young child with her parents and siblings.)
