I assume the "barbie" means barbecue (although personally the fact the Reform synagogues would serve shrimp to me is weird but I know that their food isn't kosher).

While Reform Judaism doesn't view Torah as being binding (unlike Orthodox and Conservative Judaism, which view Torah to be binding), I've been finding more and more Reform congregations these days choosing to keep kosher. I think we may even have some Reform members on this forum whose synagogues keep kosher.

My Reform shul has always been kosher at least since 2003 when I joined.

I was joking. We've been kosher since 1991 when we changed Rabbis.
