Is there a city ANYwhere that does not boast "the worst drivers ever!!!" by its inhabitants/random people who've visited?

It's pretty similar to the "[Fill in name of any city here] is the absolute WORST city for singles" claim that can be found in discussions about virtually every city.

Same. I drive the speed limit, stay in the appropriate lane, exercise caution, and won't be pushed into driving faster than is safe for road conditions. Don't like it? Oh, well, go around me. There's a passing lane just for you.

I also live in Mission, but my safe driving practices predated that by years.

KC drivers are not as good as Chicagoland area drivers as they are far more used to driving in heavy traffic volumes, packed urban streets, dealing with complex highways, divided roads, one ways, etc. I find it interesting how many people always try to compare KC drivers to those on the West Coast instead of the actual Midwest.

I find it interesting how someone would compare drivers driving in a densely packed metro of nine and a half million people and an area of 10K square miles with drivers accustomed to driving in a very low-density metro with two million people spread out across an area encompassing almost 8K square miles.

CA drivers are just aggressive, not mean.
Most are courteous, Every once in a while you get that complete A-hole that mucks up everything.

However, many of those people who live in Chicagoland come from smaller metros or rural areas- so they have to adapt to driving on the roads like everyone else.

I haven't been to KC in a long time but used to be there a lot. I will be there again in about ten days. KC drivers were OK generally except they would stop at the point of entry on to the Interstate instead of merging into traffic. That's a good way to get rear ended.

According to this

http://www.allstate.com/resources/Al...eport-2014.pdf

KCMO is the safest city to drive in by population. KCK, Olathe and KCMO are in the top 15 overall.

Let's just say I haven't been impressed with the drivers here. What bothers me the most is the glut of slow drivers in the left lane. Drivers here do not seem to grasp the notion that the left lane is for passing only. Everyone seems to like to pile up in the left lane. It's beyond annoying stuck behind a dumbass driving 40 in a 55 in the left lane, and it's gotten to the point that I will not even take 71 south to 470 to Lee's Summit from Westport anymore. I take 350, which is somewhat better.

I will say I agree with some of the posters about JoCo. People seem to have more courtesy and mindfulness driving there for whatever reason.

I've lived in many different places. Missouri drivers are much better than drivers in the South.
