Not sure how Watkins beat Davis in the 2nd district, but the 3rd district feels a lot more sane now that its flipped. I was expecting Kobach to win the governor race- was having flashbacks to Brownback's re-election.

Congratulations, Kansas!

Thank you for rejecting Kobach's xenophobic bigotry and failed trickle down economics.

Welcome to the 21st century.

No joke. Kansas may be coming around a bit politically while Missouri seems to be stumbling now.

I may eventually, because Alabama of the North, I mean, Alaska is not progressing any time soon.

Yes way to go Kansas! I was so glad to see the 3rd go back to the Dems as well. I volunteered for Dennis Moore’s campaign in ‘98 when he unseated Snowbarger and was in the Poli Sci department the same time as Yoder. So happy he got unseated. Way too conservative for the district.

I guess I havent paid attention, why was Yoder so unpopular?

I know why Watkins and Kobach were infamous.

He was a conservative in a fairly liberal district and was not voting to represent the majority of his constituents.

Liberal relative to the rest of Kansas, but its not really liberal. Its a swing district, moderate Republicans dont have a tough time there, I assumed he must have done something to tick people off, perhaps went too far right.
