Hello my Kansas friends.

My friend retired Judge Bob Baker of Ashland died this week while out of town in Campo, CA. I can't seem to pull the trigger on an obituary in a paper around Ashland or Clark County to learn details of his funeral.

Would rather not bother the family.

Many thanks,

Rossi

Spot-on Becky! And many thanks for your help.

Judge Baker was very active in the illegal alien border watch program with several organizations, and as a result had many friends from all over the country. In fact, he was actually on guard duty at the border near Campo, CA during night operations when he passed away.

Many thanks again.

Rossi

Nice to hear of his service to our Country. I lived in Ashland and Protection for a few years but I did not know of the Judge.

You are very welcome. Always check the Dodge Globe or the Woodward News.

Rebecca

Bob was quite the character, no doubt! I'm glad an obit was found for you. It is my understanding that Bob wrote his own obit.

When did you live here in Ashland verynicebecky?

chele, I lived there for almost 2 yrs but I was gone for 6 months of that time, halfway thru. I didn't know anyone. I kept to myself. I was married to Tom Price. He had bought Roger Reimers (spelling) house. It was a marriage of convenience. For the last yr that I was there i was living in the old 2 story house on s.w 13th or 14th...I liked it there. I kept to myself because I knew that after the school yr that I would have to be moving to Nevada. My daughter Amanda graduated from Ashland High in 2006. She worked up at Sam's Pizza Barn during her Sr. yr. She has red hair..maybe u have seen her? I also have two sons who attended school there...would have been 10th and 6th graders, Rex and John-Thomas.

I lived in Protection for about 2 yrs prior to living in Ashland. I used to work at L&M Grocery. Say hi to Sueann over there if u happen to see her. Prior to living in Protection I lived in Buffalo, OK and was a reporter for the Harper County Journal. I lived in Laverne, Ok before that. All in all, I spent about 16 yrs in that part of the Country.

I am Rebecca Adkins.

Wow, you did keep to yourself! Of course, I work at the hospital so I don't really see many people. I don't have kids, so I don't know your kids either! And just when I thought I knew everybody in this town I have never heard of your ex either!
Small world though, our paths sort of crossed.
My name is Michele Krier. I am married to George Krier.
Nice to "meet" you!

Nice to meet you as well. I do wish now that I had done something to meet ppl. I did know the Woolwine's and my oldest son lived with them during his Jr. yr of high school. My ex was working at that time (that I was living in Ashland) at the Protection nursing home as a CNA. He no longer lives in Ashland.

Are you related to Christina Richards from Buffalo? I think she was a Krier.

Wait!! Tom Price - he is/was in the military?? He applied for a job at the hospital but before he could start work he was called to active duty or something? And your daughter, did she have very dark (gorgeous) mid back wavy red hair? She's kinda short? I don't know why I didn't realize who he was when you said he had bought Roger's house.

I can't think of any Krier that was named Christina, not to say there isn't one, I just haven't heard of her.

Yep..that Tom Price.

My daughter's hair is straight but she often would curl it and it was beautiful.

I think that Christina was Pat Krier's daughter...not sure.
