Hanalei is north
Poipu is south (does it really look better? I didn’t think so. I thought Hanalei did)

The places to see are north and south and east and west….BUT there isn’t a highway from north to west….So, if we stay in hanalei, we’d have to go all around the island to get to the west……..wherever we stay, we’ll have to travel a long time to get to other places……..cause the attractions are spread around……we COULD stay on the east coast….but I don’t know if it looks good (can you check)?

Options:
  • stay north (Hanalei). More rainy. Travel south and west to see attractions. Hour or so to the south. 1.5 hours to the west.
  • stay south (poipu). Sunnier. Travel north and west to see attractions. Hour to north. Half hour to west.
  • stay on east coast. Half hour to both north and south. 1 hour to west. Don’t know if it’s sunnier or not.
  • don’t go to Kauai.
  • ????

Where did you end up staying? How was the weather? How did it all work out?
