Sound like Tom has you lined out in regards to the rental situation. I would just coordinate with him. No need to look at Central Kentucky. Just zero in on OC and get in a decent rental. You'll be fine.
Ive been trying to zoom into Oldham all along but got confused when I didnt see rentals. Its understandable that nobody would want to leave a good area but it had me looking elsewhere.

Yes, RB, Eastwood itself is in Jefferson County, but there are Shelby County properties with Eastwood zip codes. Just to be clear.

Tomocox is our expert on Louisville's suburbs/exurbs. He will steer you to the right place. Ladyalicia, do not worry so much, just come! Also, the whole schools thing in Louisville is overplayed. Louisville, one if the 20 largest school districts in the US, has some of the best performing but also some poor schools, like any big district. The "bussing" thing is overplayed...the majority of students get their "resides" school.

Yes, the majority of students get their "resides" school does not include a majority of the children who are new residents of Louisville. That is what I keep trying to tell you. You can not act like a Democrat and tell half the truth. People moving to Louisville, as I did with a child, are placed at the bottom of a long list. Example: when I moved to Louisville, my daughter desperatedly needed a traditional middle school, for her to attend the traditional middle school less than one mile from our home, 15 white females would have to be admitted first, and the building was bursting. So she had to attend a school five miles away.

Yes, this is only one example, but it is still the common situation for immigrant students.

LOL!! Dont be a democrat ha ha!! Thats funny! But all humor aside I think its total crap that you cant send your child to the school system you picked out and the neighborhood you chose to purchase a home in. I will steer clear of that. My kids go to some of the best schools in NJ so Im not willing to give that up. Oldham, here I come!

My friends were recent transplants, in the last 4 years, and said otherwise. Tom, please show me definitive proof of this in writing. This is a myth the real estate community perpetuates to prospective new Louisvillians and frankly, its a sham.

Incidentally, I believe the best place in Ky for Ladyalicia is Oldham, and it is why I referred her to you. Yet, I do not believe that Oldham is the best fit for everyone, and many transplants should look with nor scrutiny at Louisville and JCPS.

Also, lets keep politics aside. Let's just say I am neither Republican nor Democrat.
