Am I correct or hallucinating? Kentucky has had two intense weather events so far this year? I think there were some bad tornados in early spring in Western Kentucky, and now the remnant winds of Ike?

You had snow, but not crippling, correct?

You are not having the same drought this year as last year, correct?

You did not get the flooding that the Midwest got this year around May-June, correct?

You have not had any summer tornados, correct?

You had a cicada event, but that's not related to the weather.

Thanks.

Love the weather here today. Mid 70s is nice! When it gets to where it stays like this I'm pulling the tent out of the shed and we're going camping! That is after we go to Gatlinburg next week! lol

Yes, mid-70s does sound nice - perfect weather for camping! But please tell me, am I correct in thinking that KY has NOT had really devastating weather so far - that it's been a pretty good weather year for KY?

The weather has been typical this year. Nothing out of the ordinary, it's actually been a calm year so far. The winds yesterday mainly in Western and Northern KY was the biggest weather event of the year.

If you can put up with the high humidity, it's not bad. Had a friend in high school moved in from Maryland. Went outside for 10 minutes and thought about living the rest of the summer inside! lol

Virgo, save me some of that ice cream! lol

Great! That's what I thought. I think even the severe rain storms have been skirting past northern KY and hitting Indianapolis and Cincinnati instead.

There have been so many awful weather events this year that The Weather Channel sometimes gives most of their coverage to those types of event, and it takes them a while to remember about the other areas of the US.

Thanks!

The weather this summer hasn't been too bad at all. Well, except for being without power for five days but that was more like a long camping trip than anything

In western KY the drought last year was 4 month long, this year it's been about 1 1/2 month, bad but nothing like last year.
