Hello. Does anyone know if the ETSU Family Physicians practice in Bristol accepts Tricare? Or do you know of any hospital(s) in the Tri-City area that does accept Tricare? Please let me know asap. Thanks.

I don't see a specific listing for ETSU Family Physicians in the database below, but over 60 doctors who work for that group are listed along with all Wellmont & MSHA hospitals.

OK, thank you kamoshika that helps me out a lot. Do you happen to know what that facility is called behind the ETSU Family Physicians office? It's a brown building... I forget the name but someone told me that they accept Tricare...

Sorry, I have no idea. You might be able to use Google Maps to ID it.

It is also a physicians office building with a variety of physician offices.

I've not had any problems finding Tricare providers here, but use the link provided and see which providers are listed and who are accepting new patients. As to hospitals that are taking tricare, most do, you should be fine.

Just be glad that you aren't in Asheville, I could find no one in Asheville that takes Tricare (another big plus for living the Tricities).

Good luck

Tony (retired military)

Yes, please give us an update, we just put an offer in on a home in Rogersville, TN. My dh is on Tricare and has to have monthly infusions for MS. It would be nice to not have to drive back to IL for this!!

We are trying to get out of Illinois,"Fitch" just downgraded Illinois credit rating today and we have the most ex-governors in prison that any other state!!!

Janjam,

Sorry to point this out, but this post is from 3 years ago, no update since then. As to Tricare, are you guys retired military Tricare? If so, do you have Tricare Prime? If so, you know that we military retirees lose our tricare prime as of Oct 1st of this year, not sure what I'm going to do after that. You guys could use the VA if you qualify, good luck with the house.

Tony in Johnson City

Tony,

Yes retired military Tricare Prime. My dh's infusions cost 9000.00 a month (very inflated price, right), and with regular Tricare he would have to pay 20% or 1800.00, that is just not possible. This is BAD!!!

Thanks for the info!
