My son will be moving to the Bristol area soon. I would like to set him up with a usb modem on his phone to use as a hot spot for all things internet, including his xbox! Or maybe a wireless hot spot.

Can anyone tell me what the best provider in this area is. As in, whose service works really well , especially nearer the park area.

Thanks so much!

AT&T or Verizon would have the best coverage and offer the services you need. You might look into getting a Droid based phone, which can tether up to 5 devices. But I have my doubts that anything short of fiber (Charter/Comcast) would be suitable for online gaming with his Xbox.

Verizon is best for broadband cellular service. and i am with AT&T. in JC, AT&T is wonderful. in Bristol though, Verizon will be better.

if ur looking for high speed internet, go with COMCAST. they are the best.

yeah, what I thought. Unfortunately I can't put a "hard line" in for wifi. It will have to be strictly a "hot spot" type. I've seen the Mi-fi and it looks promising but don't know anyone who has experience with it to find out. I might do a "trial" and see how well it will work.

Thanks for the info!
