Whole milk, here in northern Vermont is $5.00 a gallon. That is just plain rediculous ! How much does a gallon of whole milk cost there ?

I only buy skim milk but can't imagine that whole milk would cost much, if any, more. Bought a gallon today at Kroger in Kingsport for $2.93, but most grocery stores sell it for about $4.

Whole milk most always costs more than skim from what I've seen.

I LIVE in "dairy" country here, and this IS a local brand of milk, and it still costs $5.00 a gallon. Sounds like we are all not too from the same amount for milk.

We drink soy milk...goes for $4.98 a gallon sometimes less with a coupon. Some day it will be cheaper than cow's milk. 6 yrs ago when we started drinking it it was almost double cow's milk, now it is about equal.
