I hope I dont seem somewhat defensive, however I am. I worked for Back Yard for four years, the JC location was open for three. If it wasnt for one owner stiffing the other two with a huge IRS bill, we would still be there. It was ran great and had a great location and product. I wish all new restaurants the best, and remember we did $78000 our first week in JC...top that!!!

I love Back Yard Burger and luckily can still partake in the Knoxville/Maryville area. My better half loves their hand dipped and made shakes. It is sad that they went out in the Tri Cities. Perhaps someone else can buy franchise for the Tri Cities and go at it again.

I don't care for Five Guys....a lot of my co-workers seem to love it, as do my parents, but it's just not my style.
