Hello
Can anyone tell me what happened to Russo Orleans out in North Johnson City by the Kroger. We drove out there yesterday and there were chains on the doors? We have been there only once and thought it very nice.

mbmouse knows them well and hopefully can fill you in. She will be back late today or tomorrow. I was a fan of theirs on Facebook and their profile is gone.

We liked it there too...tried it once and had thought of going back. The atmosphere was trendy and cool, but with all the effort the owners put into making this a great nightspot....it deserves a better, stand alone location. It's hard to dress up an old grocery store, in a grocery store strip mall. I hope they re-open somewhere else. I wish them success!

Yep, had to close. Long story....lets just say the landlord had legal issues and the economy is tight...the end. They hated to close that location but some times you just have to do what you have to do.
Yes they are still open downtown JC on Main St. They hope to eventually open something similar to what they had in North JC but in a better location.

mbmouse,
Thank you for the info. You always know what's going on in the tricities. I am really sorry for the folks who own Russo. Please let them know they are missed. Hope things work out for them. Thanks again.

They are not gone, only closed that one location, you can still go get that great taste in downtown JC.
