At least they have Dillard's.

The movie theatre from what I read is shutting down, same as Hallmark due to not enough traffic/customers.

We have a Hallmark here next to Kroger in JC- Its always empty. I honestly don't know how it stays in business. Also Radio Shack and Circuit City are gone from Johnson city. Retail Businesses are hurting.

Circuit City is gone from the world. They don't have any brick and mortar stores. How Radio Shack hangs on I haven't a clue. I definitely see them going the way of Blockbuster.

As both real wages and (thus) purchasing power decline we will see more of this. Innovative businesses will hang on, but outdated businesses models like Radio Shack will definitely go away.

Yes, Marquee Cinemas will be leaving the Fort Henry Mall/Kingsport Town Center in June/July of 2012. Not sure yet if Marquee is gonna relocate elsewhere in the city or just pull out of Kingsport completely. They had thought about moving to the Pavilion but that fell through.
