Yeah, doesn't seem like a whole lot of anything, going on, huh?

Nothing new here today either.
Have fun watching HGTV.

Nite nite, painter, and everyone else

Smile I hope everyone has a happy and sunny weekend.

Well, it might seem quiet here, but in my little brain there is a lot going on! I know that surprises some of you - including my DH!

I had just heard from a poster from months ago informing me that they had found a great home, wonderful schools and a happy life in their new neighborhood. She just wanted to fill me in on "life" and it made me feel wonderful to know that someone that you make contact with on C-D, really like & connect with, and then try to help out a bit, really strikes gold with their new home.

We lose touch with so many folks after they get moved and settled. It is a shame that we can't keep up with one another after the goal of a new home, job, and school is met. But, we all have busy lives.

I think that some of us will just be hanger-on*ers, always waiting to hear how another family or young person or older retirees have settled in. I hope that all of you are among those for whom C-D becomes your cup of java in the morning so that we don't lose touch with the ups and downs of our lives.

It is always gratifying to know that you have helped someone zero in on an area that is just right for them, that you have filled someone in on the sights and events not to be missed, and that you have just brightened up somebody's day by showing that you care about what happens to them.

I'm happy that we have so many folks like that on the TN and Knoxville forums. I hope that other city and state forums are just as fortunate and viable.

I guess that will be my sentimental speech for today, friends. Just wanted to let you all know that we don't even have to have something terribly interesting to say; just being here for someone else is a great ride to take.

Again, Gem perfectly said.
I am glad they found all they were looking for, I know I *almost* have!

I will be back later on tonight to chat, folks, it was busy at work last night, that's why I weasn't around much, and it looks to be busy again, but I'll be around!

Gem your killing me with the artichoke stones and the husband's Bowling Green garage!

Unfortunately, it seems that my rep fairy's wand is broken! Drat. <hiknapster walks over to rep fairy and kicks her in the shins>
