GOOD NEWS! My realtor had her broker (who's a bulldog, lol) call the seller and told him that if he dind't agree to the $500 in repairs, he would be breaching the contract that we all signed. He said he basically had to threaten him with the fact that he could be sued over this and be in trouble with the MLS board (or something like that?)
Apparently that's all it took, because the seller decided right then to give us what we were asking for, which-in the words of out realtor and the broker was more than generous. So I think he just thought we were dumb and he could get one over on us.

Thank goodness for a good realtor!

Default News

I just got an email from Babette. I sure hope she doesnt mind me telling but she has not been on due to a tragic death. Her Step Grandson who was two and his twin was under the care of a babysitter and the babysitter took the little girl out of the tub, went to check and found the little boy face down, she did CPR and then rescue came, they had a pulse and took him to the hospital but he died nine hours later. Babette's son had just left last week to go to his new Military post in NC and his wife and Stepkids were getting ready to join him in three weeks.

On top of all this one of her best friends that was like a brother to her passed away yesterday so now Babette is on her way to NC and will see the family while there.

Please I know she would appreciate it if we all kept them all in our prayers, thats a lot of tragedy at one time and my heart goes out to her and her family.

Gailli--Wow, so much tragedy, and so suddenly! Her family as well as all others involved are in my thoughts and prayers.

Barking Spider--I think he is just insane--he actually had the audacity to question the inspection and say that the work was done "by a professional electrician"...HA! He got off WAY easy with $500--and Shane has to do all the work! We were trying to be thoughtful of HIM by offering to do the work ourselves!

Good wishes for Bebette. That poor baby. I was always terrified of my kids in the tub.

Mysticfire, I've heard that agent is a jerk. I'm glad it all worked out, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why he would act that way, and be in the business, too.

Honestly, we bought $20,000 below value, $40,000 below his original asking price, but gave our seller asking price. Our seller was thrilled to get it, went out of his way for us, paid all closing costs and anything else that we asked. In the long run, the squatters not leaving was not his fault. He couldn't get them out, either. And if it wasn't for him coming back, even though he had the money in his pocket, it might have turned into a horrible scene at my house.

Bad vibes to that agent. I'll certainly remember him.

And congrats, mysticfire!

I have heard that some times a person can carry feelings over to another property that may have the same name on the sign. I don't recall any time that may or may not have happened to me......but just the same, I'm thinking, that it just might be possible..

On another note, most good inspectors don't have to make stuff up, there's usually plenty to write about already.

Hi Everyone,
I'm homesick and miss Tn. NC isn't bad, but it isn't Tn. We've decided to hopefully make the move back to Knoxville by November1.
I can't wait!
Pam
