Anyone know where I can find information on specific neighborhoods, or subdivisions in Maryville, Alcoa and such?

I have been searching for 2hours, on just about every site I can think of and have come up with nothing!

If someone could give me a list of the different areas and tell me alittle about them, I would really appreciate it. Looking for an area that is average, I do not need the best, just liveable. If I could drive around and see the areas it would be nice, but wondering if I could get some opinions from the locals. Also want to mention that schools are not important since I am reaching retirement age. What neighborhoods, or subdivisions would you live in, and which ones would you avoid? I know this is all relative to what I am used to and personal preference.

If I ever get my new camera bought, in my hands and figured out I will post pics and info. They have some nice neighborhood profiles for subdivisions in Knoxville but not Blount County (to my feeble knowledge).

Tell us exactly what you want to know and we will attempt to provide educashional information. There's lots of places to live around here and we don't have all day ya know!

Millipooh, there are some specific subdivisions and neighborhoods on the thread listed below. And, that is only one thread that I found doing a search for "Maryville subdivisions". There were others that I did not look at.

//www.city-data.com/forum/knoxv...y-friends.html

Also, when I went to realtors dot com I found 752 homes listed priced up to a maximun of $150,000. I don't know how much you want to spend, but I just plugged the max into the search area to see what would pop up. That is a lot of houses for a small town in one price range!

There will give you the sub or neighborhood for each of those homes. That will give you an idea of what you can get in various subdivisions. You can use Google earth dot com to find them in relation to everything else in town.

But, the real key here is to make a visit and drive around either with listings you got yourself off the internet or with a realtor. They both have their own advantages. We always preferred to drive around on our own with a good local map to get a feel of a town without any high pressure going on and a lot of time wasted going into areas that we had no interest in.

I hope you are able to visit (where do you live now - close enough for a quick trip or two?). I hope that these sites help you out until you are able to make a trip to Maryville and area.
