I have a house in fountain city built in 1933. Just wanting to know where to look about history of the house. I know about tax records and was wondering if there is any other resources.

Start with the Fountain City History website. Get in touch with the people involved in that and mentioned on it.

Check with the Fountain City library and see if they have reference works.
You may need to go downtown to the East Tennessee Historical Society.

They have lots of resources along with the library downtown.
Geneological research is very popular in the South. You'll find a lot of people who are willing to talk about history and what places used to be like. You'll need to track down people and listen a lot. It can be a very interesting project.

You can also go into the court house and ask to see the title info and trace it back to prior owners, they cross reference the names at the library history or local genealogy records and see what pops up.
Good luck and let us know if you find anything interesting or "notables".

Definitely ask a resource librarian at the Historical Society. They hold all the old Knox County Court records going back decades. 1933 is probably no challenge at all for them!

Knox Heritage Society might be a good option

Also, ask your neighbors. You'd be surprised how much they could know.
