Hello All. After a month or so of looking on this thread, and many other, I tell you...Knoxville people are the most positive and God Trusting people I have come across. We, my family and I are a family of 5,all under the age of 30, currently live in the worst state possible, MICHIGAN...my husband and myself are the statistic, we are both unemployed, looking out of state is what we would like, we look at this opportunity as a chance to be in a better place not just for us but for our 3 children. We want us to be in a place that God wants us, and really even though things are not spectular, job wise, I have read some great postings, positive postings, from the knoxvile area. I am looking for a home,in a safe area with great schools, that is owner finance, rent to own, we have 6 months of savings, so we can move down there and look for work, I believe that God has a way and I was wondering if you would pray our family and help us to move to Gods country, we need a future
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, thank you all for trusting in God in such a negative time, I need that...I really do...

What are you and your husband experienced/educated in?

In your situation, I would avoid west Knoxville. It's too expensive, and immediate north Knoxville (inside the 640 loop and Fountain city) might be nowadays as well. South Knoxville-Knox County is still a great, suburban/semi-rural area and quick access to downtown. East Knox County is rather rural as well and might be the home of some good deals. It's difficult to help you position yourself without knowing what sort of job market(s) you'll be coming into, but in general south Knoxville-Knox County and east Knox County are going to be easier to find a cheaper rental, which might be easiest for you until you can get more settled in and start looking for "the" place.

Good luck to you.
