We are looking for a SF rental in LV area. I have heard that scorpions can be a real problem and that if a home is infested, you just don't want to rent or even buy said house because they are nearly impossible to kill. So can you please educate me about scorpions and what to look for; what areas are infested, sounds like a real issue. Thanks!

We can not say what houses have them or what areas. This year we have seen them everywhere around town, in recent years they have mostly been in certain areas. There are quite a few things you can do to get rid of them. But when looking at homes if there is a serious infestation, there would be noticeable signs. Just keep an eye out when looking at homes.

Don't worry about scorpions. They are not a problem. The only real problems are those that money can not fix.

Last thousand houses I have looked at I have seen maybe ten with a scorpion and one with a scorpion infestation.

OK, sounds like I was misinformed. I will keep my eyes peeled for them. Anything else I should know unique to the Las Vegas area? That's one I had not known about....so maybe there are more? Thanks for the help from all of you.
