Sorry to hear that, whether totally unfair or not you will probably never work for Cosmopolitian again. You can try the lawyer route but it will probably end up being a very slow process and a waste of time/ money. I have been in your shoes it's an awful feeling. If you do sue them you will never be hired from any casino again. Move on try your hardest to get back at your old job. If that doesn't work I hate to say it but your sitaution is really bad. Practically nobody hires anybody full time anymore. Unfortuantely there isn't any new casino opening out here for years so in the end you either will have to find a job outside of the casinos or leave town.

So sorry to hear that airics. Dang. (*see, Davie, you are not the only one with tough luck. )

What about your RE? Or couldn't you do bartending?

How's your wife doing there?

I understand it is business, but geez, no breaks at all anymore....too many people lined up, I guess.

Interesting. From my experience with 20+ years in the industry. Unless you get a tasty settlement. You are screwed. If HR rules in your favor and agrees to special accommodation’s. They will still hold you to close scrutiny until they get enough on you to get rid of your @ss. Two if you do file. Kiss working in another resort goodbye. It’s still a small enough industry where directors know and talk to one another. I had to let somebody go under very similar circumstances a couple years back.
From a legal standpoint I have no idea if you have a leg to stand on. From managements eyes, its over for you at the Cosmo. Do you want to continue on at another house is the question.

LVD from Golden Gate to Wynn. Labor and management is just a commodity. Unless your the owner the joint. You’re a nobody that can be replaced by a single phone call. None of these places treat their employees good. Its best to keep your head down and dodge the bullets and always look out for #1.

I CAN understand removing you from the job for color blindness....what I can NOT understand nor forgive is not attempting to place you in another position at a similar level...suprisingly enout [at least to the Casino 'brain'] there ARE other positions that require someone with a brain.....

Altho from what ive been hearing this is about Par for the course for the last few carpetbaggers to have opened up.

NOW....all that being said...
As one who does a fair amount of hiring for our office [for which you are the POSTER BOY for over Qualified] Ihave read, more then just a few resumes, and have participated in the interviewing of a multitude of people.
I have also come to know Air, at least a little bit thru his postings.

I truly believe that you wont be "on the street" long...

YOu FAR outdistance 90% of the applicants we're looking at now....
