PS. And thanks for the link by the way. (Can't tell if serious or sarcastic )
Yes, in looking at past posts, you have been mostly polite up to now, but this one looked like you were blasting everyone who replied. Sorry if I misread your intention, but...:

Obviously they were saying you could ask Greyhound about taxis, not ghettos.

Isn't this asking a question and telling people only what kind of answers you will accept?

Then don't say anything at all.

I didn't read the whole thread so if this is answered sorry. The bus station is sleazy but safe. When she walks out on to Main she will only have to walk 100 feet to the north for the cab stand. It is not a place you will want to make friends but I am sure thousands go through that station daily without incident.

Some of you need to be nice to rentmax. (you know who you are...mac and buzz) All he wants is info to make sure his sister will be safe when she gets here. I will help him any time. If I lived closer to there, I would pick her up from the bus station and drive her to her hotel. But it's too far and almost near my bedtime. But it's the thought that counts.

Hey, if she was coming in at 12 noon instead of 12 midnight I'd pick her up myself. But just ask the questions and ignore answers that don't address your problem. I don't want to hear this, and I don't want to hear that, is not the way to ask somebody something.

But we all love Rentmax. He's been like a brutha to me. Sometimes people say things in a way they don't mean, but it comes out sounding, well, you know. People jump on me all the time for not thinking through what I mean, or they just read into it things that only occur in their own little pea pickin' brains. (Guilty!)

Sorry for the misunderstanding all, and thanks to all that helped. I will consider all recommendations (except for the phone call), for my little sis! Looks like the Plaza it is. I feel a bit more at ease with her going there.
I guess from what I've heard around was that place (Bus Depot) was a warzone

And PinkString, you are too kind!

Rentmax, I just thought of a new thing to worry you about.

Does the bus pick her up at the train station in Kingman, or does she have to go to the bus depot there? I don't know if I'd really be concerned at either place, but their bus station might be yuckier than ours.

Probably cheaper and easier to make her fly next time.

Yeah. Bus right from Amtrak like Dyn says, so no worries there.

As far as flying goes, she has a HUGE fear of flying and the anxiety is not worth it to her. (Also afraid of the TSA fondlings).
So, she'd rather spend 3 days on a train than 5 hours on a plane to not have to deal with her phobia.

On a positive note, the scenery will be nicer. See the country from a nice big train window.

Tell her to get a window seat on the right side of the bus so she will see Hoover Dam when they cross the new bridge. That is unless it goes through Laughlin.
