Hello!

I am thinking of moving to Vegas in few months and I would like to get some adivices from all of you.

1) Is it possible to rent a place before finding a job? If I show them I have enough savings in the bank to pay for at least six months rent, will I be able to sign the lease?

2) I am thinking of renting "Manhattan condo", "Park Avenue", "The resort at the Coronado Ranch", "the County Club Towers", or "Crystal Court." Do any of you know anything about those places? good or bad??? Most likely, I will be working near the strip.

3) Do many people use public bus to commute to work?

4) Does anyone know anything about "The Holiday Royal Apartment Suites" across from the Hard Rock Hotel? Is the room clean and safe? Is "Budget Suite" better than "Holiday Royal Apartment Suites"? This is a temporary place until I find a rental unit. Is it better to stay at the cheap hotel instead security-wise?

I tried to find the answers to my questions in the past-posted forum, but I could not find them, so if any of you can answer to my questions, I will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1) Pretty sure yes although most places run a credit/employment check. Doubt it's a deal breaker.

2) The resort @ coronado is very nice. I'm right across the street in their other property coronado bay club. Love the area, convienient to all/strip.

3) Not most, you need a car here period

4) Don't know

I was between jobs when I moved here and most of the apartment managers just made me use my last employer on the application. They also said if you had the equivalent of 3 months rent in your bank accounts with proof that would be sufficient as well.

I've had success with the bus system so far. I'd almost even say it's reliable enough for a daily commute within reason but this place does have the angriest bus drivers I've ever met.

Good luck!
