Regarding drinks, the prices are ridiculous. Two rounds of specialty drinks for two people is usually $60.00 in hotel/casino bars.

As for gaming revenues, what would you expect? The economy is down and disposable income has decreased substantially over the past few years. There are casinos in nearly every part of the country, and many have lower stakes that in Las Vegas
$350+? Go to LVA website and click on LV Deals. Rio is $30/nt.

The code for $30/night is PRNYR, and it is rejected when you use it.

$21/nt. Sun-Thurs.

Check out on Friday and go home or check into Eastside Cannery for Fri/Sat nites
$69.95 (enter offer code: BRISK12) and get $10 off/nt. so $59.95.

No need to pay $120 a night for a room.

Better yet, if you're active military or retiree stay at Nellis AFB Inn for $39/nt. (the rooms are very nice incl. fridge, microwave, toaster, flat screen TV, big bathroom and FREE laundry and computer facilities). No pool, but hey, it's winter so who cares?

I got the hookups, just ask...

That link yields a $650/ wk rate for my dates of travel. That is the problem with many of the deal sites. Unless you can travel on the 2-3 days where the rate is effective, you get clobbered.

Honestly, I could have done better but the boss was adamant that we not going to stay in four places in one week.

As for the Cannery or Nellis, why do that? I could stay at the Imperial Palace for under $200 and be centrally located. It is too much of a hassle to commute in from North Las Vegas. The time that I stayed at the Santa Fe Station, I felt that I spent half the trip driving places.
