She has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

My guess is that she has retained an attorney, who advised her to quit talking about the case online.

That would be a reasonable supposition... however this thread is now about random amusing guesses ;-)

Maybe she was undercover looking for other people on here talking about illegal things they did!

Don't go if you might have a warrant out for anything...

Idk, isn't it better to get it taken care of rather than getting picked up or arrested for a traffic violation? Then again, I suppose it depends on what it is for.

Hi everyone. Had to laugh at the last few posts in this thread. Cute. Sorry for the disappearing act, I've been busy. Well, quick update... I received a notice that there was a certified letter from the LVMPD. I went to the Post Office to pick it up. I figured OK, they mailed whatever it was to me...nope, it was the exact same letter from the evidence vault I had already received. I figured if it really was a certificate of title that they had, then why not just mail it to me? I decided to just forget about it, the whole thing is weird. It does seem like they are trying to get me down there for whatever reason. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I'm not falling into any trap. Sorry for all the suspense, now this thread can finally die

Pretty sure I don't, besides, they do have my address if they want to come get me...

I don't think it's wise to "ignore it and maybe it'll go away" in this case. Get legal advice and face it head on.

There is a very real chance that you are being sued right now, and the plaintiff is suing an empty chair. In that case, they will get everything they ask for. And your next "notice" will be that your bank account is frozen and there is a wage garnishment against you. That's what happened to me. And it took three years and several thousand dollars to straighten it out for me. I hope I'm wrong and this is nothing. But what if it's not?
